Service Terms & Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions (Service T&Cs) govern our service and repair work for your Geero outside warranty or guarantee cases.

Validity and conclusion of the contract

By placing an order for service or repair, you accept these terms and agree that they apply exclusively. The contract is concluded once we confirm your order. In some cases, we may require an advance payment before accepting the order.

Prices

The prices valid at the time of ordering apply. If higher costs are expected, a non-binding estimate can be prepared upon request. This estimate is created to the best of our knowledge, but without guarantee of accuracy or completeness. Preparing an estimate is a separate service. It is free of charge if you place an order based on it; otherwise, a fee of €50 applies. A cost increase of up to 15% above the estimate is considered approved.

Packaging and shipping

Secure packaging is required for every shipment. The use of original Geero shipping boxes is strongly recommended. We are not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging that does not follow this recommendation.

If packaging is missing or severely damaged, we can provide original Geero boxes at a fee. We will inform you of this before handling the shipment if necessary. If the shipment is sent with unsuitable packaging or without packaging, we will return the item using a Geero box, and a charge will be applied.

Shipping is free only if you use a shipping label provided by us, and the package does not exceed a total dimension of 360 cm or a weight of 30 kg when using non-original packaging.

Shipping labels we provide are valid for 30 days. The Geero must be sent within this period. Otherwise, the case will be closed, and you will need to contact us again.

Batteries are classified as dangerous goods and may only be shipped installed in the Geero in a locked state with the keys included. Any other method of shipping batteries must be agreed upon with us in advance.

Service and repair conditions

Items that are not part of the standard equipment, such as bike locks or lights, and that may interfere with service or repair work must be removed before placing the order.

Keys required to inspect the battery must be included. Otherwise, the battery will not be checked, or you must send the keys separately at your own risk and expense.

If the Geero is excessively dirty and must be cleaned before work can begin, we reserve the right to charge for cleaning based on the time required.

Replacement of wearing parts and essential components

When placing your order, you can set a cost limit for replacing worn parts such as brakes or chains, or other essential components. Within this limit, we will carry out the necessary work without further consultation. Worn parts will be disposed of unless you request their return when placing the order. If costs are expected to exceed the set limit, we will contact you for approval. You have 3 working days from our first contact to respond. If no approval is given, no work beyond the limit will be carried out. We accept no liability for parts that should have been replaced but were not due to a lack of approval.

Completion of the order

Any stated completion dates are estimates and not binding. If the order is not completed within 21 days after the estimated date, you may withdraw from the contract without charge, except for costs already incurred. This does not apply if you were informed of the delay in advance and did not object, or if you are partly responsible for the delay.

Due date and retention of title

All invoices are due upon issue. If payment is not made within 14 calendar days, statutory interest for late payment may be charged. Ownership remains with us until full payment has been received.

Additional costs and right of retention

We may charge additional costs, such as extra shipping or storage fees, caused by delayed acceptance after completion. We may retain the item until all outstanding amounts have been paid in full. Liability is excluded in such cases.

Liability and warranty

Our representatives and we are not liable for damage caused by slight negligence unless it results from a breach of essential contractual obligations.

This limitation does not apply to guarantees or claims under product liability law.

Statutory warranty provisions apply unless stated otherwise. The warranty does not cover improper use, incorrect operation, unauthorised repair attempts, or defects caused by you. Parts that become unusable due to normal wear and tear or expected service life are not considered defects.

Further information about returns can be found in the service and repair section on our website.
